Institutional experience

Designed and operated with Southern College.

Southern College Florida, USA · Programs in Chile 2025 & 2026

Tour Lab has designed and run Southern College's educational travel program in Chile since 2025 — Andes, Pacific coast, Valparaíso and Santiago — with programs delivered in March 2025 and March 2026, and the college choosing to come back. For a faculty lead, that repeat decision says more than any brochure.

  • When flights were disrupted in 2026, the program was rebuilt around what the group most wanted to do.
  • Sea conditions moved a boat day? It was rescheduled in advance, not cancelled on the dock.
  • A supplier raised safety concerns, so we replaced it before the group arrived.
  • Institutional policies (like no alcohol) were applied across the whole program within 48 hours.

Why Chile

The most teachable country
in South America.

01

Political laboratory

From Allende to Pinochet to a 2019 uprising that rewrote the constitution — Chile offers unmatched material for political science, history, and human rights courses.
